Spotted Saddle Horses
Third of these new breeds of gaited horses, the Spotted Saddle Horse is a cross-breed of Spanish and American pinto horses. Closely related to Tennessee Walking Horses, this breed is a combination of Standardbreds, Missouri Fox Trotters, Mustangs, Peruvian Pasos, Paso Finos, and Racking Horses.
Spotted Saddle Horse Facts:
- The Rocky Mountain Horse averages around 15 hands.
- Color range is white in a spotted pattern, with at least one spot midway between the knees and chest. The tail must also include a spot of two inches or more.
- Head markings do not include the require spotting.
- Legs include color above the hock or knees.
